Buying a sofa usually starts with a photo saved on a phone and ends with a long talk at a shop or with a carpenter. The photo rarely says how long the sofa is, what the frame is made of or whether it will fit your hall. Home Sofa Design was started to fill that gap.
What you get on every design
- Seats: the seat count or layout, such as 3+1+1, 3+2 or a 6 seater L shape with the chaise on the right.
- Build: the frame and the cover, such as teak with a velvet seat or plywood with leatherette.
- Fits: the kind of room or room size the design suits.
- Maker’s note: one practical instruction to pass on to the shop, upholsterer or carpenter.
Who we write for
Families furnishing a new flat, people getting an old sofa rebuilt or re-covered, and anyone who wants to compare shapes, woods and colours before spending. Our size guides and the room size planner help you check the fit before you order.
What we are not
We are not a shop. We do not sell furniture, take orders or recommend sellers, and no maker pays to appear here. Read how pages are written on How we write and how facts are checked in our fact-checking policy. Questions are welcome on the contact page.
